Clinician Report's years of experience have found the following techniques to make a significant difference in getting the best results from bonding agents.
Techniques
- Scrubbing in two applications of 5% glutaraldehyde/35% HEMA solution (such as Gluma by Heraeus Kulzer or MicroPrime G by Danville Materials).
- Use self etching bonding agents to lower sensitivity.
- Still etch enamel.
- Do not air dry tooth, only HVAC to reduce sensitivity & increase bond strength.
- Two coats of bond cured separately.
- Scrub bonding agent.
