Cleaning Appointment Length

• We value education and believe in investing time with patients up front.
• This is our chance to "Sell our Team"
• Ideally adults get 80 min for new patient & 60 for periodic exam (if schedule too full this could be only 60 adults or 30 for kids if pt doesn't want to wait for a longer appt availability) Hygienist need to be flexible to pts wishes.
• Ideally children get 40 min for new patient & 30 min for periodic exam.
• Child vs. adult is based on insurance. If not known, use 14 years (we can't give more time as insurance will not pay.)
• The hygienists and the coordinator's are responsible to make sure TP's are closed, patient education is thorough, and informed consent happens before the patient schedules.
