Cascade's Triangle of Stakeholders: Doctors=Patients=Staff
Most dental offices and work environments work under the framework that the boss, or dentist, is most important. We aim for a higher standard in operating as a team consisting of three parties or stakeholders. Each party’s interests are weighed with equal importance in the decision making process. Likewise, each party has unique and important responsibilities for the team to work as a whole. The dentist may still be in charge of many things, but will equally weigh each party’s interests in fulfilling his or her responsibility in making final decisions.
This also means we require certain things of patients and team members as they are an integral part of the triangle. Interests of the doctors, patients, and staff should all be equally weighed in all decisions. Recognizing each party’s interest often necessitates
each giving and taking to create unity.
