We Don't Sell, We Educate

Many dental “Gurus” try to teach us to “sell dentistry” or find treatment to use up or “maximize” our patient’s dental benefits.  We are strongly against this type of behavior. Such behavior can often be self-serving and not very patient oriented.

As health care professionals, we strive to create a relationship of trust with our patients. The moment we start selling instead of diagnosing, our patients will lose trust in us and our treatment recommendations.

Conversely, trust will be established when we tailor our education to each patient’s needs.  We educate them so they can make educated healthcare decisions according to their family’s value system. Remember that "we work for them."

When offering adjective services, we must very clearly separate such from treatment recommendations so as to not erode trust.
