Doctor Duties
Below is a list of duties that are assigned to the doctors. The doctors should regularly review this list at least every quarter during staffs regular performance reviews.
- Follow-up patient calls by end of next day.
- Monitor staff attendance.
- Monitor staff for appearance, nametags.
- Straighten doctor's office.
- Maintain Bookkeeping with QuickBooks coordinated by HAD.
- Audit charts.
- Verify adjustments made to the patient’s account.
- Check quality and enter all lab cases.
- Data security/Fraud prevention.
- Passwords: Computers, Credit card portal, web portal, wifi.
- Backups.
- Maintain credit card policy.
- Enter all data into portal by 10th of each month.
- Insurance.
- Property (have adequate equipment and property coverage).
- Maintain malpractice for each dentist with hygiene rider.
- Workers Comp.
- Advertising.
- Manage internal and external marketing of the office.
- Each office must Participate in franchise wide advertizing campaigns (Bleaching coupons, etc).
- Promotions, keep stock of such items.
- Get corporate approval for all advertising items.
- Local independent advertising highly encouraged .
- Support local community.
- Community Outreach.
- Preschool Program.
- Mouth guards for local youth programs.
- Adjunctive dental services for cancer patients.
- Corporate matches charity work by discounting corporate fees.
- Human Resources.
- Hiring Staff-determining benefits and pay.
- Performance review weekly and quarterly.
- Review their duties, proficiencies .
- Help staff set and review goals.
- Help each employee be the best they can become or help them want to leave.
- Team Activities: plan two activities per year. (Christmas party and one more, office staff should not assist in them, we serve them).
- Discipline & Praise.
- Critique Form.

- Train Staff Members.
- Prepare for Office Meetings.
- Prepare for Office Continuing Education meetings.
- Renew Professional License.
- Distribute Office Keys.
- HIPPA/OSHA/Infection control/MSDS training.
- Updating and training office emergency protocols.
- Send CE certificates to corporate.
- Doctor #1 Duties.
- Supply Ordering.
- Postcards ordering/Equipment/Assistants.
- Paying bills through HAD.
- Inventory and manage supply ordering every two weeks.
- Steward over Assistants.
- Doctor #2 Duties.
- Human resources/schedule/Hygienist.
- Verify office taxes through HAD.
- Collect all employee and office monthly checklists.
- Steward over Hygienist.
- Doctor #3 Duties.
- Bookkeeping & Portal.
- Coordinate Payroll with HAD.
- Steward over Coordinator & Receptionist.
- CE- Continue to improve ones skills by doubling state requirement. 30 hrs every year instead of every two years (30 due on 5/31 even number years).
- Be a team player with partners and staff.
