Laser: Certification & Saftey

• No legal requirement for certification course in Utah but good to have taken one for legal reasons.
• Over 30 states allow hygienists to use lasers (NOT Idaho or Texas)
• Hygienists may only use laser for procedures in their scope of practice

(Whiten teeth, Desensitize, Herpetic lesions, Apthous ulcers, Laser bacterial reduction, Laser Curretage)
