Time Off & Breaks

beach

Our time off policy is founded on the principle that we “work for our families” and on our appreciation of how hard everyone works as a team.

As long as this spirit of team work continues, we set no specific limit on time that can be taken off. The doctors will work had to set the weekly schedules to accommodate and balance everyone’s needs. They will also try to maintain staff of sufficient size so that if one person needs a day off at a time there should be plenty of others who can help cover.

We require the team member who wants time off to fill out the “Time off Form” so that we can keep out commitments to our patients and to other team members.  It is your responsibility to find someone to cover your shifts and to help cover others in return. Providers and Staff members should only take as many shifts off as they are willing to help cover for others. Providers need to make sure their hours are covered or closed down 6 months in advance to help maintain our recall scheduling and commitments to patients. If doctor hrs are closed with less then 6 weeks notice, then offices should send something to patient like a gift card etc.

If a team members needs extended time off for medical, maternity, or so other reason- the team will do their best to cover. Previous hours are never guaranteed; however, ever reasonable effort will be made to quickly get the team member back to hours they would like or had before. In the spirit of team work, we expect all parties will be patient. (Family Medical Leave Act is only applicable if a company is larger than 50 employees because business smaller than that can't feasibly negotiate it)

All team members should help us look forward at least 6 months if we are to close the entire office down for specific days or holidays.
